Recommend mufflers for EXTREMELY aggressive sound?

I say put another foot or few of 3.5" tubing to point the noise away from the occupants and play beautiful melodies with Your right foot. Use turndowns if You have to.

Dynomax makes a popular bullet muffler. There are many other companies that do as well. They are all basically the same thing. I think summit racing may even make one. They are cheap and do a great job at quieting it down a bit, though they do not really alter the sound. Get on youtube and browse around until you find something you like. There are more exhaust videos on there than you could possibly ever watch!

On a stock car we MIGHT be talking 1-2HP, MAYBE over a straight through bullet type design muffler.. I would be surprised if it was that much honestly.

Just so you know I used the dynomax bullets to quiet down the sweet thunders significantly (which seem to be similar to power sticks)
The bullets are pretty quiet around idle and pretty loud at wot. But still a lot quieter than you would expect for a straight through resonator

Yes, it does. I liked the Flowmaster a lot better. I'm glad you posted this. I am in Atlanta on a business trip and made a stop by the Summit store and almost bought some XR1's. I held off because I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much. Now I'm almost certain that I'm going to go back later and get some Flowmasters. Thank you.

patooyee, here is a recording of my Nova running (badly!) after a cold start. I can't remember why I recorded it like that. I think it was on one of the first startups so I was excited and anxious to record the sound. This was many years ago. At the time of the recording it was a tired small block 350, ported 441 iron heads, dual plane Performer RPM intake, and very mild comp XE268H 224/230 .470/.480 110LSA. The exhaust was Dynomax long tube headers, dual 2-1/2" pipes with an H pipe, and two single chamber Flowmasters with turndowns in front of the axle.

Later I put some Edelbrock heads on it and a bigger cam. It really woke up, but honestly the exhaust sound was still very similar. The only complaint I have is a little drone it had around 1,800rpm. It was right in that cruise RPM range so when you're just putting along say in a parking lot or in a residential neighborhood that drone can get really annoying.
I hope my LY6 is as snappy as your LS2. Empty tranny probably helps, but even so that thing gets up to RPM in a hurry! I only give you crap about not updating on OFN because I miss the progress. You've done some great work with the buggy and I always looked forward to the updates. Seems like you must have gotten pretty far to have her fire up already.

Hooker Maxflow! It's a strait through muffler with a little more packing that most. It makes the tone DEEP but will scream at WOT.
Oh and just for reference my setup is ARH 1 3/4 headers, catless dual 3" to single 4" with a single 4" Hooker MF and a turndown.
