From True Duals to a Single Flowmaster, pics and vids
So I made an exhaust change. Here's the set-up before: LPP headers, custom 3 inch H pipe, 2 x 18 inch dynomax bullets with turndowns

New setup: Same headers, 3 inch into a flowmaster merge, then 1 single 4 inch going into a single chamber delta force Flowmaster with a single turndown.
Pics first:
Started with this
The workhorse for the job
Starting to mock up
I originally was gonna have the exhaust dump out towards the back of the rear tire like this but it didn't work out that way in the end.
This is what I had to do to the rear floorboard
Muffler was almost dragging the ground so I realized more work was needed
Here is the muffler in a better position, and now a new floor needs to be made and sealed up.
Here is the mock up panels tacked in place.
Finished product
Here's what it sounds like

Part throttle, keep in mind I have a 4000 converter

If you look closely at the after pic, you can see the torque arm was cut to clear the bullet mufflers mounted in the tunnel. Im going with likely an aftermarket torque arm, hence the reason for the exhaust change. I needed for room for a new torque arm. I dont mind cutting and welding stuff for the best possible fit. If you look at the torque arm you can see where its notched to accommodate the drivers side muffler.

Interesting, sounds good but like others have said not much different from the TDs, and ground clearance looks about as bad. IMO you should have done the torque arm first then decided on how to run your exhaust.

Here's an interpretation, the idle now sounds like a gang of tiny monkies banging on cast iron skillets with ball pin hammers, where as before it sounded like hail hitting an aluminimum baseball bat.
The WOT is pure sex though.

i think the walk around with the new setup sounds waaay better than the old setup. it is all video though. whats your opinion on your own car being able to actually hear it? sound better now just idling?
