My honest opinion is, idle sounds very similar but you can hear the flowmaster and its not so airy sounding. It drones pretty good at low rpm cruising like 45-55mph, The drone goes away at about 2100 rpm, however the old system did this as well, but its drone hung around a little longer till about 2500 rpm. WOT before was just raw noise, now it actually has a sound, and it sounds good. Probably slightly quieter overall at WOT.

very cool. nice seeing someone not being afraid to cut the floorboards to make some room for the exhaust.

I don't like what you had to do for the same sound. Or close to the same sound. i liked the bullets better.

I can definitely hear a difference and I like the flowmaster better. I can hear the difference under acceleration, idle not so much. It has a lot more "zing" with the flowmaster and I love that sound.

Sounds great, Ive actually been planning on doing the same thing. But why did you cut into the floor board? Also how is the clearance? Did you have to tuck them up much?

4 inch merge fits in the tunnel great. At least average ground clearance. However, even after taking a hammer to the rear floor pan, the muffler was about sitting on the ground. It was in no way acceptable. There just plain isnt anywhere for this muffler to go except behind the rear end. So by cutting the floor I tucked the muffler in the space that was once inside the car. However, I will say that very slight modification to the seat was made and it went back in perfectly. You could never tell by looking inside the car that the floor has been cut.

I tucked a huge 3.5" spintech muffler under the seat where yours is by beating the holy hell out of the floorpan, but I did not need to cut it out.

Your flowmaster sounds way better. There is no comparison. It actually sounds like a muffler as opposed to just the raw nasty straight pipe worktruck sound of the bullets.

man ive been a fan of your work before, but i just dont see the point in this? why not just run some different bullets? I just couldnt justify the single to a slowmaster instead of the 2 bullets

like i said i love your work and not to be a dick but i just dont see your logic in this.

I'd really like to hear a spintech in that location. Is there any way you could make a video?

I actually like the sound of your 4" setup better than your duals. I've been trying to decide on taking my 4" Y pipe setup that I've got and just adding a muffler to it and dumping it, or scratching the whole thing and welding up some 3" TDs using the universal Summit X and some 4x9 Magnaflows.

What I do not like is my Hooker catback anymore. Congrats on your new setup. Also, the floorpan thing is a great idea. I took my seats out so I need to find a better way to hide some pan cutting or pan hammering

I can hear a difference in the two setups in all the videos. They both sound awesome and I can definitely hear a hint of flowmaster sound from the single pipe system. I would have to say the flowmaster 4" sounds better though. Everyone has bullets dumped.

I love my flowmaster 1 ch. mufflers, they have a unique sound to them. Makes me laugh how many people think just because the crossflow was an absolute flop of a muffler that the other designs are bad FLOWMASTER has many wins to back themselves with an a large percentage of SATISFIED customers!
Next up would be MAGNAFLOW i like the sound and performance of them as well.......Just wish they had a muffler the size of the flowmaster 1 chamber i would like to have 2 different setups......

If/when you take it off....shoot me a PM please. Had a Hooker catback on a TPI car and loved it.

OP...nice work on the floor pan. Could you have put a smaller muffler in the opening opposite from where the fuel filter sits? I've never really measured that space, but have thought about the possibilities.

How much power is your set-up making? Is a 4" pipe really needed? (I'm not saying a 4" is too big....or doesn't have a "cool factor"....just wondering if you could have went with 3.5", tucked it over the axle, and had plenty of room to mount a single in/out flowmaster back there.)
