Default '69 Nova Track Numbers - 4.8L W/ TC76

**Posted this in the Forced Induction section but not sure if you guys go in there so here is my track times.**

Ran the car last night...in 40 degree weather!
No idea what the actual track temp was but nobody was hooking up.

60 Ft --- 2.3
1/8 ET --- 7.9
1/8 MPH --- 100
1/4 ET --- 11.80
1/4 MPH --- 130

I figure not too bad for the daily driven street car with a $100 short block.
I sucked at getting the car out of the hole.
First time running at 6 speed turbo car at the track...a little different..
Also, I was WAY fat on the fuel...down in the single digits so way too rich

1969 STOCK nova
2004 4.8L truck engine, 190K
317 heads, reworked
LS6 Cam
T56 twin disc McLeod
TC76
160 LB Inj. (overkill but going to be putting in other race car this winter)
2 BAR tune, '02 ECM
12 bolt with 4.10's (left over from when it was a 4 speed)

Just thought I'd share and maybe get a few suggestions/comments.

Change the rear gear, 3.55 or so, turbos like being loaded. Otherwise not bad for a junkyard engine!

well, congrats on getting some seat time in. i'd love to find a 4.8 or 5.3 to stick a hair dryer or two on, but I couldn't bring myself to do so in the GTO (even boosted, a small motor just doesn't fit in a GTO), and now it looks like soon enough I won't have it to play with. Maybe I'll fool around with what I got in the Nova...

130 mph? Sounds like tens with a good launch. I'd take that 40 degrees anytime over runing in the 90s. I swear the oils just rise up from the track and create a slick.

that car sure was movin on the big end, is the slow 60ft due to spin or turbo lag?

Dont share that with me. I'm sooooo tempted to turbo my 72 442 daily driver that I just dropped a 5.3 in.

The slow ET was due to a combo of lag and spin as well as bouncing off the Rev limiter, lol.

in my signature is a link to the build. Its a cheap motor with nice parts ! I think I might run the MP T70 turbo again, insta-spool!
