Trust me, you will master it before long. The speed bug is universal. I decided to do the turbo on mine because it was different. I haven't seen another E36 with a front/ engine bay mounted turbo setup. The only other one that I know of is an STS setup. I believe it was Mike Collins @ Nash Motorsports. I agree that it is one hell of a project, the amount of custom EVERYTHING is ridiculous. It will be well worth it though! A turbo E36 is cool but an E36 with a turbo LS1 is even better.

On Oct, I took the LS1 on its maiden Track Day at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway and she did me proud. I left the street tires on becuase I wanted to know how she would perform w/o the slicks on.

Track temps were at 100-105F all day but she ran well within normal temp. Vids to come soon as soon as I can get them off my wife's camera, so here are some pics for now:

Yes, I see your build on BF.c. Nice build up. Mine is on jackstands again bceause my clutch line blew up so I am in the process of relocating the ABS unit and replacing the clutch line so It may be a couple of weeks since its hard to find the time to work on it.

Where are you getting it tuned? I went to Racer's Edge Tuning in Downey and they are good guys.

Got some progress done this weekend. LS1 is out. My god its so great to have access to a lift, power tools, and extra hands!

While waiting on the new motor, next up
1. To clean up the old installation wiring
2. Figure out what I want to do with the brakes, change to smaller booster or go manual brakes..., if I wanted to change it up.
- Want to retain ABS so we will move the unit
3. remake power steering line
4. Add more heat shielding
5. Convert headers to v-band and ceramic coat
6. Wait for new motor
-I've decided that once the motor is finished, I will do an engine dyno break in.

Motor is just about done but since AFR will not be open to receive it over the holidays, ERL will ship the motor first week of Jan. I can't wait!

AND... An update
machine work looks good here....all four corners were between .0025 and .004 out of the hole. That's very good for this type of thing....basically held the tolerance +/- .001

Headers are back from heat coat so I hope to get photos of those soon
