ive been on the 3800 sites for a while and havent seen anyone do it , why do that , for all the money your gonna spend you could be faster and better mpgs with a sc or turbo For lesss than 2000 i ran 13.06 at 107 and backed that time and mph up a few times . That was headers, baby cam , injectors, intercooler and a 2.7 pulley.

heres a guy who did it to an 01 http://montecarloforum.com/forum/six...10/#post383279 seemed pretty straight forward. and to clear up some misinformation here, the body style years are 00-05 and then 06-07, no montes made after 07

thanks for that link solaris..i did end up finding that last night..I don't think I would really mod up the engine for performance..as it being FWD..but use it as a cool DD ..heard the LS4 trannys have a lot of problems with it tho

the 4t65e is pretty weak, but a lot of guys run large aftermarket transmission coolers and they seem to hold up a lot better that way. there should be some thread somewhere on here i think showing how to install one of those

I actually miss my 07Monte SS. I wish I would of just gotten a Impala SS.
