Good luck.
in the event that you're asking about putting a rwd ls1 into either of those vehicles, the answer is still no, it is not worth the money.
as far as helping you, I'm really unsure of what it is that you're asking, I would be more than glad to, but theres no real question in your post, you just told us about your fwd cars, said you wanted a rwd ls1 and asked for help.
one being a 3800 v6 Supercharger
the other one with a dying 3100
i am looking into the possibility of doing a v8 swap and RWD the thing.
welding is not an issue
i can fabricate almost anything car related
i do have the LS1 engine sitting in the garage
has anyone done it? (or in another FWD GM car)
wiring harness?
etc etc.
1st consideration is that the steering rack is behind the motor, I would get an F-Body rack and mount it in front, then swap the steering knuckles side to side so that it steers from the front. The back of the subframe would have to be removed.
2nd is obviously the floor pan/firewall. Would have to be removed and replaced with a RWD tunnel to give room for the trans/driveshaft.
3rd, rear axle would be fairly simple, however the gas tank would have to be relocated because it sits where the rear axle would fit.
Seems easy enough, LOL. Would be a long term project.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
We all know Jon Moss... He built one in 1995 or 1996. Granted it isn't an LS1 engine but the concept is the same. Watch the video starting around 3:50...

Another video... This time a 1998 Monte Carlo converted to rear wheel drive looking a bit more stealth.

If you truly can fabricate I suggest you start measuring, researching and making notes... because talk my friend is... talk.
