Hi guys I'm a newbie to the site but have been reading through conversion threads for a while. I'm trying to work out the best way to convert my 1966 impala to ls power.
I had the idea of a 5.3 and 4l60 so have been on the look out for a parts vehicle to strip the whole lot from.
Well I've found a 2003 GMC Savana 2500 cargo van that has been written off that has the 6.0ltr. I'm hoping to view in the morning. After a bit of research I have gathered that it has the LQ4 engine and 4l80 transmission?? so I'm wondering if any of you guys know different to that?
I was looking to use as much of it as possible. I read that you can use the truck looms so I'm guessing i can use the van loom? also is there any differences that will affect my conversion or can i use the whole package. Obviously
I will get motor mounts and have to sort the oil pan and front accessories. But could I use the original intake etc? There is also a 2004 GMC Savana 2500 cargo van there but it's only the 4.8 which I'm guessing wouldn't be as good in a big car like the impala? any advice, tips, hints would be greatly appreciated Cheers Dan

Savanna Cargo van should have been drive by cable in 2003. PCM should be green and blue.
