Bumpstick ordered this morning...

Thunder Racing seems to be having some business issues so I called Geoff @ EPS and bought a 226/234 .598/.601 113+2

His reputation is great and the EPS lobes seem to be very popular so I'm excited to finally get that purchase out of the way.

I am going to look into the whole rocker/spring/cam thing after I get the chassis all sorted out. But wait, I still need to install the new top kit I have been moving around the garage all winter. It may be fall before I finally get to the next step. I really want to drive this thing this year. Seems like I start a big project that takes the car off the road every summer.

What pan did you use? You have the Doug's adapter plates and headers correct?

After looking around a bit I got one from him as well (speced by Pat G). They seem to be the guys to go to for cams going into rectangle-port motors. Can't wait for it to get here.
Did you get the 7.425 push rods? What springs are you going to use?

I used a Canton pan, 13-274, pickup 13-275 and filter mount 22-631. It all fits very well, even as low as it could get everything the pan hangs about 1/2" below the crossmember. The tie rods just barely left a witness mark on the pan. Best part is no leaks! Moroso also makes a similar pan, but it requires a remote filter mount. I am not sure if the Canton filter plate would work. You could ask Frank at Moroso if he has an alternative.

Sorry, missed the last part. Yes I used Dougs headers and plates with Energy Suspension pads 3-1117G. Also used 3378 frame brackets from carpartsdiscount.com . This was the combination that set the engine the lowest in the chassis. It would not be a big deal to shim everything up for better ground clearance.

Got a few things accomplished today.

Ordered a C5/C6 pressure side P/S line and a generic return with a u-cut hose. The pair were $30 and will be a direct fit on the C5/C6 pump and JGC box.

Also ordered the remote reservoir setup and a pilot bearing.

Where'd you order the P/S hoses from?

Well drivers header hit due to proportioning valve. So I did some gentle massaging and all good. Also laid out the full exhaust so I...well just because us car guys do that stuff haha.

Looks like you are making headway. My project is at a temporary standstill. I decided to replace the convertible top. That opened a new and bigger can of worms. None of the instruction sheets for the project seem to agree with one another. So like most all other projects I shall charge forward with equal parts brute force and ignorance!
