Do you think I could fit something like that on the passenger side wit a/c? Your downpipe looks like it will drop in the same area as a turbobuick. Im going to try and merge into 3.5 dump pipe and buy a good catback exhaust to go from there back. Also what radiator are you running?

Thanks

Thanks. I can measure if you need an exact measurment between the x-over and down pipe but its about an inch or so if I remember right, the v-band clamp clears by 3/8 to 1/2". The plugs are tight but I put them in with the down pipe one, I plan on changing them this weekend might be a curse word or two flying. I think I will pull the inner fender to make life easier. I think the AC would fit with no problems. That is a 3.5 in dump pipe, its real close to my heater blower moter(will see how long it last) and I had to notch the frame a little to keep it off the floor boards. The radiator is a Northern 209626, got it off ebay. Its tight down next to the frame but it fits just fine.

I did lower the radiator support about 4 inches or so, so the radiator sat flush w/ core support. I will see if I have any pics of the intercooler mounting. I did a poor job taking pics. I welded a piece of 1" square tubing for a top support and then I came off the bottom of the radiator support with a couple brackets for the bottom.

Default Update

THANKS FOR ALL THE COMPLIMENTS!!!

been awhile...Cars running great been updating a few things here and there and working on the tune, running about 11-12psi now. Probably have over 3,000 miles on it now. Best MPG has been 23 when I was able to resist going wide open throttle. I will try to get some pics with the new wheels on and also maybe a video when I take it to the track. Having a real hard time getting it to hook tried a few this weekend, one left a 850' burnout and thats was easing into the throttle almost all the way through second gear, about 60-70% throttle. Even tried out some 9.5" slicks and that resulted in a cloud of smoke all the way into 3rd gear too. Hoping to get it to the 1/8 mile track on July 7th, hopefully it will hook a little better there. The IAT temps have been getting a little high, 140-150* on a 15 second pull. I tried building a cold air box and that helped a little but I would like to get it a little cooler. I have a full exhaust on it so next on the list is and electric cutout to free up some back pressure, I'm hoping that helps lower the IAT. But I have know clue if it will, this is my first turbo car.

The acc drive is off a truck and the intake is an fbody intake with aeromotive fuel rails. Not sure of the trim on the MPT70 but the a/r is a .68 it builds boost fast and I mean fast. I can foot brake it and launch on 8-9 psi if I want but the tires don't like it at all.

It's good to see your having fun with it. Have you ever looked into using meth? It will lower your IAT and let you "turn it up " a little more and still be very safe. There are allot of good kits out there with the best probably being Alkycontrol but I have used SMC kits in the past and they worked great also.

Good luck at the track.

Yeah I'm spraying a 50/50 mix of meth/water IAT still seem to creep up on me. Not sure what to do my try pulling the headlight to get my air filter some cooler air.

Made it to the track yesterday on one of the local cruises. Was only able to make 2 runs. They didn't have any vht on the track. Still could feel the slicks spinning for pretty much the whole 1/8 mile pass. My second pass was the best 7.49 @ 96.3 mph. It was probably about 93* out too. Had a lot of fun, my 60' time was not the best 1.83 do to tires spinning. I was launching on about 5psi. I will try to post up a video if I can get it to work. I put the car on a scale too, 3,650lbs with about a 1/2 tank of gas and me. Put on a little over 200 miles yesterday, with the 2 track runs and about 5 other WOT runs still managed to get 18.7 MPG, I was pretty happy with that.

The car on the slip with me was a new camaro, not sure what was all done to it, it had 426HP lettering on the hood. It had about a 2.5 second head start on me and I still ran it down.

Oh man i love it. Did you have any clearance problems with the truck accessory drive setup with that intake? Is it a LS6 intake?
