93 wrangler yj with 5.3 swap
hery guys, figured id post up my 93 wrangler yj with 5.3 swap. Its all done, except for making the speedo work and tach wiring.
For now its a stock 5.3 with edelbrock shortys, flowmasters. 2000 f body PCM and truck harness.
700r4 trans with goodies and a 3200 converter, 241c transfer case
36in buckshot mudders
BDS 2in springs, springover conversion, panhard bar, and shackles. I drive it all over the place and wheel it often.
I'll try to get some videos up. Only thing I dont have on her is good axles yet, but I did put Yukon chromolys in the d35 out back after snapping the stock drivers side doing burnouts! It has 4.10 gears stockIts a light rig, so even the stock 5.3 feels fast! The stock jeep radiator cools it perfect, never sees over 190 degrees
This summer i'll prob do a decent cam..for sound and more mid range power for ***** and giggles.
I need better pics but heres how it sits now

did some wheelin today. Broke a spider gear (they were welded by a previous owner) It was wet and sloppy, but the 5.3 power makes up for it! All my buddies have rock crawlers, so I follow them...where i'm not supposed to be going haha

The 241c was installed in fullsize blazers, suburbans and tahoes from 87-98. I'm pretty sure the trucks got the same one
Its just a better version of a 208 case that the older trucks had
Its not a stock jeep transfer case..just a stock chevy truck one

Are both heater hoses getting hot? Did you recently replace it.

I messed with it today, I blew through the core with air..it worked for, about an hr. When I pulled the lines, it looked merky/muddy water. I think the heater core is stopping up, i'm going to try to flush it with a water hose. If that done work, i'm going to replace it. One hose was getting hot, other still cold. I flushed it and both got hot, but the heat came and went.

The 5.3 jeep is like having a camaro that climbs anything lol.
except, you dont want to hammer it from a dead stop, the short wheelbase is hard to keep straight!

I agree. Sounds like the heat core is clogged.
