Default 1966 Chevelle factory gauges with LS swap

I am putting in a 6.0 LS into my 1966 El Camino. I want to use my factory gauges with it. I have a set of Factory Chevelle SS gauges. I am running the carb set up with the LS, so no more need to the wiring harness. Anyone know how to run factory gauges with the LS??

What are your current gauges? Which are electrical and which mechanical?

You need to use factory senders, hooked up just like the factory did it. You may need to find a schematic to make sure you hook them up right.

The gauges are the factory SS, the oil pressure gauge is mechanical, that's will be easy, but the water temp is electric. The factory sender is bigger than the ports on the LS heads. On my small block I have the sender on the intake.

You can drill and tap the drivers side brass block plug 1/2" NPT. I put the sender for my 68 corvette there.

You can also convert the stock gauges to modern electronic gauges which may be easier to integrate and will probably be more accurate. There are many companies out there. Here is one of many.
