Can you use the 5.3 truck mass airflow sensor with the 5.7L and just adjust the hz or maf setting in HPtuners? just wondering as the 5.7 mass airflow has a seperate intake air temp and the 5.3 is all in 1... plus they are more plentifull at the local yards.
Finaly got a LS1 w/4l60e and putting it in my 99 e39 (528i). Cleaned up all the parts and got all new gaskets to reseal it before it goes in. Just forgot to ask for the maf and now I dont have any.

Yes it will work, the plug is different though. It has 5 wires. 3 wires for the MAF 2 for the temp sensor. The 2001+ corvettes with Ls1/Ls6 motors use the same larger 85mm truck style Maf from the factory. You can either buy the plug and play conversion harness from caspers electronics or cut off your 2 separate plugs and splice in the single 5 wire single plug to the correct wires.

It will throw off the tune slightly though, but you'll probably be having it tuned anyways. Yes it can be tweaked with HP tuners.

awesome to hear... what is the diameter of the stock f-body mass airflow sensor by chance...
Gonna see about getting one from a truck sometime soon along with a connector.

I believe the stock one is like 75mm. 97-00 corvettes also used the smaller f-body style one. I made the change to the larger one a few years ago on my 99. Got it from a 5.3 silverado.
