Hey guys, i just wanted to give you a heads up, i bought the HND-2 For 50.00 and it works great. It took a couple calls to tech support for wireing diagrams.
There is 8 wires coming out of this box. 4 large, 4 small.
2 of the large wires go to Ignition Hot
2 of the Large wires go to ground
1 small wire goes to Ignition Hot
1 small wire goes to Resume/Accell from the Stock Harness
1 small wire Goes to Set/decel from the Stock harness
1 small wire goes to On/Off from the Stock harness
and the remaining wire from the Stock harness connects to the brake light wire.
It only took about 10 minutes to install and wire up.
The Factory DBW harness has a break out to control the Cruise control system. You can simply use a multitude of Toggle switches or use this box. It just looks good. There is no cruise control system to buy.
74Novacustom - I'm using Howell wiring harness that has same cruise leads from harness. The diagram I received from Dakota does not indicate that one of the small wires goes to ignition hot. They have it as brake hot. When ignition is on the unit is backlit green however when the on is pushed the 'On' light does not come on. Can you shed some light on were my problem might be?
74Novacustom - Thanks for responding. I got the wiring correct and am matching voltage that Dakota Digital is indicating as below. Cruise is still not engaging. Am I correct in assuming that the ecm does not need a signal from brake in order to engage cruise. Cold side of brake indicates that when brake is pressed a signal will disengage cruise. Which in this case is not needed as the brown is triggered by either the on/off switch or the brake.

What engine/PCM are you using? Generally you will need 2 brake light wires for the cruise to work, one from the PCM and one from the TAC module. PCM wire needs power with the brakes not applied and TAC needs power with brakes applied. It wont work without both of them hooked up.
I'm using the pcm and drive by wire assembly from a 2006 Chevy Silverado 5.3L, the engine harness is from Howell EFI. I had tried power and no power to the stop light of the pcm with no success, looks like I was missing the TAC portion. Can you tell me what pin on the TAC needs power when brake applied?

That looks like it should work, but I'm not sure what the 'light blue brake cold' wire you show going to your PCM is? Also, are you running your brake lights off the relay too? The TAC needs to see a ground through the brake lights and if they're on a separate circuit and not the light blue wire going to the TAC, it won't work.
As far as the 'light blue brake cold' I made an assumption here because my harness from Howell had a light blue wire labeled as 'stop lamp switch signal' and then the diagram that Dakota Digital sent me for the HND-2 has a lt blue cold side of brake. So I thought they are one in the same.
No brakes lights are not off relay, relay was used initially for torque convertor and I'm thinking I can piggy back off it for the cruise control.
I'm confused about your statement 'TAC needs to see a ground through the brake lights'.
I have limited experience in wiring using an American Autowire harness with Howell EFI engine harness. With that said the truck is running and driving with no issues. Just trying to figure out this cruise control.

When you're dealing with aftermarket parts, and especially with wiring, you can never assume two of the same colored wires are going to be the same or hook together. The 'TAC needs to see a ground through the brake lights' thing messes a lot of people up, and its hard to explain. So, let's start at the top, since the truck is wired and fully functional we'll assume it's wired correctly. What year of truck is it, and what year is the engine/PCM?
