I am making a bracket to install a cs130 alternator low on the passenger side of a 5.3 and run it off the 4 groove side of the balancer. I need the 4 groove pulley for my alternator and can not find any info on what years and vehicles used them.
I seen info on this earlier today while I was at work but can not remember what it was under.They were using a alt out of a van I believe. I've searched and searched.

Can't you just use a 4 rib belt on the 6 rib pulley? The groove spacing should be the same.

Just make sure to space the alternator back enough that the pulley itself does not interfere with the six rib belt (if you are using it).

Now finding a four rib belt the proper length may be a bit of a challenge...

They can be cut from the proper length 6-rib (or more) belt. Not sure it's something you'd want to do yourself by hand, but a belt supplier will have the machine to cut the excess ribs off...

A Nissan Z31 alternator pulley should be 4 groove (87-89). I was going to use one to run my Nissan power steering pump from the AC section of my LS balancer before deciding on manual steering. Making it fit your alternator may be an issue though.
