6L80E Slip Yoke Question
I will be building a custom drive shaft. This will be going into a 1965 Buick Skylark. Motor is an L92.

The TH400 is the right diameter and spline count, but too short. BTDT. I will post a picture in a moment.
I have a 6L80 w/ L92 in my 1951 F1 pickup.

Here's a photo of the TH400 yoke vs. the 6L80 I installed.

This allows me to use the rear trans seal with boot. Yoke flange is about 3/4" beyond the boot installed.

Strange said it should hang out of the seal by 1", which it is dead on that. I'd probably have shot for 3/4", still it did not come close to bottoming.
If you keep this type of seal, I'd definitely run the longer yoke.

I've read you can use a flange yoke to a converted driveshaft with two slip yokes on it and a pinion yoke on the rear.
I've read you can use a 400 yoke and (now I see sonnax makes a 6l80e slip yoke) remove the 3 bolt and shave the yoke down in the rear for it being bigger. Is this yoke a standard or slip?
I've read you can get a 2wd from the truck 6l80e which is slip and change the tail but this will involve removing all the Trans internals to put the tail internals in since it's the first part in the Trans? Is this the same thing you would need to do if you bought that 6l80e conversion kit I see floating.
Does anyone have pictures of the converted driveshaft or videos of any of these methods connected and in the car... Please just people that modded the 6l80e camaro transmission from start.
Any direction to a company that has these methods or parts or a answer for this would be greatly appreciated
And how does doing this method make it a slip yoke style what's in the in the rear of the Trans when u remove the 3 bolt is there a spline? What seal is used out the tail so it doesn't leak with your conversion?

Thanks for your info after all the searching and parting found the 2wd tail prices have dropped dramatically from some of the original listing about it being 700 picked up the parts for 200 bucks oem new and a slip yoke and while it's apart put stronger gears in it. Just didn't want to open it up with under 10,000 miles but oh well the things we do for conversion lol. Thanks all.
If so, what parts did you use?
Shown below is the two-piece driveshaft style from the Camaro that is currently in my Caddy.
