Default newb harness question

Hello guys, pretty new here. I have a 4.8 I picked up, now I need a harness and computer. I found a 0411 ECU, and I'm needing to pick up a DBC harness, the problem is I cannot find one anywhere, and if I do there $300. There has to be a easier place to find harness's cheaper and especially one that isn't a DBW system. Anyone have any ideas at all for?

Thanks a ton,
Luke

I've always thought that engine wiring harnesses sold for stupidly high prices...even used.

you can remove the dbw part of a harnness and make it a dbc real easy when modifying the harnness . http://www.lt1swap.com/cable_conversion.htm

and or if me convert to dbw you get cruise control then via 5 more wires added.

Thats what I'm saying. You can buy a precut for $500. Why would a used one be $300? I have no issues cutting down a harness to make one, but it's hard to justify when they go for 200 dollars less and some I've seen have messed up wires and connectors.

It's going in a race vehicle. I don't want/need cruise already set up for a cable throttle. I did read that it was easy to convert but even the DBW harness's are a little ridiculous.

well after posting this last night. I managed to score a harness for a fair price. Thanks Rabid StreetRacer. And remembered that I saw one of these wrecked in the junk yard down the road and managed to pick up a drive by cable computer out of a 1500 truck for $10.
