oil pan for 3rd gen fbody
Doing a ls1 swap in a 3rd Gen Camaro, what oil pan can I use besides the stock ls1 fbody oil pan. Can I use the lh8 out of the hummer? Thanks.

Pretty sure that the LH8 will fit, but will hang done below the Crossmember pretty far.. I wouldn't use it.
CTS-V would be a bit better. Check the FAQ Sticky on Oil pans.
If you are looking after aftermarket, Cast = Holley or MAST.
There are many Steel pan also, take a look at the Autokraft pan, it has the oil filter in the OEM location.

i used the stock fbody pan for my swap with 1 inch setback plates and the factory clamshells. i had to notch the subframe about 3/8 inch for a little extra clearance. the holley pan is too deep on the front of the pan unless you raise up the engine and this will add a big pain in your *** trying to set your driveline angles. i think if you use the mast pan you can run your exhaust in the factory location. i am running a 4l60e and had to put a c notch in my frame rails in order to have any exhaust clearance.

I was going to say the same thing in that many people have to clearance the back of the K-member for oil pan clearance even with the f-body pan. I am running a BMR tubular k-member with a f-body pan on my swap, but it is not finished yet.
