Anyone done a LS1 crown vic? im picking up a 02 this next week seeing if anyone has seen one. they have the 4.6 so i might be able to use the adapter plates for the mustang swaps and make a trans mount.

I did a lq9/4l80e in my marauder.

http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forum...ad.php?t=79621

Only documented panther ls swap I know of. Used fox conversion engine mounts and a flipped and modified panther xmember. Reyoked factory driveshaft for the 4l80e splines and made a custom dash.

Done.

The best Fords came with optional Chevy power.
Good luck.

I'm annoyed that my Thunderbird weighs 3620 without me after the swap - which is bloody heavy! If one of my cars weighed 3900 pounds, it would need a serious diet.

I drive a 2002 p71 daily. I've thought about this swap at length. Can't wait to do it.

Do you have a build thread for that '97, or more pics/info on it?

No, I don't Sandmann, well, not that's public yet. I do have detailed build threads on my other projects tho:

forum.gbsb.info

My old Turbo 5.3L Mustang is there, along with a lot of other swaps. The Vic i'm taking pics and making a thread on as well, but won't be turning it public till after it's all done for a bit.

Some teasers:

Apologies for the nasty looking engine, but it's pointless to paint stuff up nice and purdy during the fab stage.

A/C, Power steering, Cruise Control, ALL factory insturmentation, everything remains functional on this one.
