Yes, if your choice is to eliminate the PCV & vent the valve covers to atmosphere, those will work. Be advised that oil will push through the filters & run down the outside of the valve covers & the engine from time to time. That's why Merv noted that he ran 3/8" hoses down the side of the block & pointing to the ground.

Back in the old days.. most engine used a tube to vent the internal blow-by pressure and gas vapors. They used a metal tube that had a angled cut (45 degree and facing backwards) on it and it would create a venturi effect to suck the vapors out as the air passed the tube.
IIRC it was called a Draft tube Vent. I have one on my 48 Ford F-1 Truck and recall they were on many cars/trucks up too mid 50's ?
