The front window trim, spray some window cleaner up in there, and try to slide it out. Sometimes they are a real pain, and if the window leaked during it's life, most "bodyman" just usually put caulking to help seal it up. Also you can try to use a cotter pin puller/bent screw driver since you probably don't have the old school trim tool to release the clips.

A couple questions. What are you running for spindles? Stock or dropped? Disc brakes? Also does the car lay on the tires you have on it now? What size are they? Planning on 20" or a 20/22" combo on my 61 depending on how the car sits. Not 100% concerned with it laying completely but curious on max tire size. Car looks great btw!

thanks….im running drop spindles with disc brakes all the way around. i bought the disc brake kit, drop spindles, control arms all from CPP…it lays frame now but i would have preferred it to lay rockers. the wheels on it now are 15" i think the tires are a 255/65/15. I'm gonna put 20x10 in the rear and 20x8 or 9 for the front. not sure of the tire size I'm gonna run with the 20s

thanks…its taking me a while to do all this stuff but it will be worth it. i would do air ride if i was you, just make sure if you are using tubular control arms to find a company the makes the lower bag mount for the arm. i used cpp control arms and it was a nightmare trying to get lower bag mounts for the front and rear

Thanks man...i really like way it turned out, I wasn't going to use those wheels at first but after I seen the rendering that sealed the deal, I'm using the Detroit steelies...your car looks clean as hell, no rust and looks like you got a ton of room to work around it, i wish I had more space haha

You will love those stands. I built a set years ago after seeing them in a professional shop. They allow you to work on the car with the suspension compressed at ride height while moving under or around it at will. I use them for driveline measurements, transmission swaps and nearly anytime I would have used jack stands in the past. My jack stands have been getting lonely for the past several years since building these. Hahaha

I had a ton of Rust. I replaced all floor pans, trunk pan, tail panel, tail light housings, etc. It's been quite the project I have a ton of photos on my FB page. look for metal shop customs.

Nice work!

I'm half done redoing a 64 with 6.0/ 4L60 swap.

I used the Fbody pan and then shimmed the motor mounts up with washers. It seemed to do the trick! Do you have any pics of where you're putting the air tank etc? I'm getting my AVS set up next month.

hell yea…i seen them before floating around the internet and they looked way safer and easier to work with than jackstands… the only downside i see to them is they just take up a lot of space but what are ya gonna do though…just have to work around them
