Default 2000 Mustang Turbo 5.3L Build

Been lurking for awhile but getting ready to start on my own swap in my street/strip car and figured i'd start up a build thread. Car started out as a 2000 v6 automatic mustang that I picked up for cheap with a blown trans. Initial plans for the car are to swap in a junkyard 5.3L pull out with a power glide trans and do a truck manifold turbo system using a s475 turbo, turbosmart 60mm wastegate, turbosmart BOV, and ebay A2A intercooler. Ontop of the motor swap I also have a ton of chassis parts for it from a previous project which consist of,

Front suspension:
Team z LSX swap k-member
Team z A-arms
Racecraft Caster Camber plates
Team z travel limiters
Afco struts with coil over kit

Steering:
Racecraft bolt in tubular steering column
manual rack and pinion
racecraft bumpsteer kit
strange quick release hub with grant wheel

Rear suspension:
Team z double adjustable lca's
Team z relocated uca's
Team z anti roll bar
Stock v8 springs with one coil cut off
Afco stock location double adj shock

Brakes/wheels
Strange front and rear disk brakes
Billet specialities street lites
15x3.5 1.75bs
15x10 4.5bs
M/T 275 drag radials

Rear:
8.8 rear housing narrowed 2" per side with late model ford ends
Mark williams caps
Strange axel and spool package
Strange 8.8 rear cover

Pics and much more info to follow as the build progresses!

Went and picked the car up this morning, got it off craigslist for $1000 dollars and cant wait to get started on it.

Ordered up some 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 .125 wall square tubing yesterday and some 3/16 plate to get started on building a set of through the floor subframe connecters for it this week.

Complete team z front suspension with strange struts and coil over kit

S475 turbo 1.32 A/R

Turbosmart 60mm wastegate and raceport BOV

Goals for the car currently are to run 10.0 index at atco/cecil with a stock shortblock on pumpgas.

Made a little progress on the car today, stock motor and trans are out and going to work on getting the team z front suspension installed in it tomorrow and hopefully get the motor in place. Ordered a new radiator from summit so I could of started building a tubular radiator support to replace the damaged one in the car while the stock suspension and motor/trans was out but, Today when i received it the over flow fitting was broken off so, Now I have to wait til I receive another one from summit or griffin.

Pics of this weekend's progress, was able to get the k-member, a-arms, and rack installed yesterday. Spindlles i'm taking this week to get powder coated so once there back I'll install the rest of the front suspension and get the car back rollable. Summit is shipping me a new radiator today so this weekend I can get the motor in place and begin mocking up the new radiator support.

Got the front suspension all back in and the car rollable again but, I do need to order a longer bumpsteer kit for the car. If all goes well the 6.0 will be in the car today!

Motor is in!! Still have to install the transmission but waiting to receive the mount from AJE. Truck intake is on it just temporary, Plan is to run a super victor intake with a 4150 throttle body with a carb hat or a holley hi-ram intake.

Anyone know what year and model car exhaust manifold will work when doing a rear mount turbo? 99' F body passanger side manifold fits great but the driver side hits the steering shaft as does the 6.0L manifolds I have also.

Received the aje transmission crossmember yesterday so, should have the transmission in tonight, New radiator support should be here today, hoping to have it in this weekend and start to figure out the mount for the radiator. If I have time, I'll try and get my racecraft tubular steering column installed. Will pick up a bump steer kit from racecraft at the yellowbullet nationals next week to finish up the steering. Biggest dilemma right now is whether I want to do the turbo or stay n/a and see how fast I can go with a stock shortblock ls1 and leave the turbo for my 25.5 chassised car? Right now leaning towards keeping it n/a and see if i can get it to go 9.9-10.0's on motor depending on how light I can get the car without cutting it up.

Front suspension is done, steering is done, cooling system and remote oil coolers/filters are here and just need to be installed. Started fitting the scott rod panels in the car and got them all sealed and primed.

I have 2010 camaro manifolds and they fit great only a small portion of the driver side flange had to be adjusted to clear the steering shaft.
But turbo application should work great
