Default Has anyone made/modified their own harness?

How did it go? was it extremely difficult if you know about automotive 12v systems? what experience would you recommend in order to modify a harness successfully?

Just follow lt1swap.com I used that site and the guy that bought my harness says it works great, most sensors have a switch power 12 volt, reference signal 5 volt, and a ground which is how the PCM activates them...only thing I would Of done different is I wouldn't delete the fuse box I would have just used it ugly or not...good luck man

Also forgot to say use a butane torch to solder....and don't use butt connectors solder every joint...and to check your work you can test the wires for resistance by using ohm meter on beginning and end of any individual wire

Frist of all.. Learn to read the Wiring Diagrams, Drawings and Pin Outs sheets.

Then Learn to make new and reuse the connectors, find a source for new terminals. Get a good crimper that will do Metri-pack and/or Weatherpack, not standard Butt/crimp connectors.

Along with learning to solder and use skrink tubing.. It will make a lot cleaner and secure harness and connections.

Once you have gotten the hang of these, you will have a better understand what is going on for the Harness, sensors and computer and all will seem so simple ..

If you can read and solder, its cake. Just take your time, double check everything, and write up a diagram as you go for future troubleshooting.
