If anyone plans on doing there own steel braided lines,be sure to invest in a chop saw..made it way easier to get line into the fittings!

Well my crossmember finally showed up!..but I can't stab the trans until this weekend, that's the only free time my buddy has to come help...so I went ahead and filled the converter up,and installed it...got bored last night in the shop..,so I decided to go ahead and pull the interior to get it ready for a cage..when I pulled the carpet I didn't really like what I found..some surface rust on the passenger rear floor board..I put a sanding disc on the ole angle grinder and went to town..luckily in wasn't all the way through, and just on the surface..I shot with some black paint to keep it from coming back...on a side note, does anyone know the easiest way to get up all the factory sound deadening material???

I heard if you put dry ice on the sound deadener, wait a minute, and hit it with a hammer it break off in chuncks

If you don't mind me asking what’s the pro/Conns of going carb over efi?? I've been waiting a few months for a friend to come thru with my motor and he also says he will hook me up on a ls6 intake and the rest of the stuff. I'm starting to think he's full of it. So I’m asking because I’ll have to buy everything either way I go and wonder what’s easier and would be more beneficial for me?

Well it's really what you prefer..my original plans were to go efi, with a t56 behind it..after seeing all these respectable times form carbed 3 speed cars..I couldn't go wrong..I'm a little new to the carb world, but I don't think it's as hard as tuning an efi motor..we will see when I get it running..

What I did with my sound deadener is I used a putty knife with a 2.5 inch wide blade and chisseled away using a mallet. Worked out very well and didn't take too much time.
