Oh no, street/strip car for sure! In the spring/summer/fall on nice days I will drive it to work 3-5 days a week! I can't have nice sports cars and not drive them! lol Hoping to get to the track once a week or at least twice a month with it like I did my camaro. Not sure it will have backseats since I'm gonna have to put a rollbar in it. It's just added weight!

Yea I am workin on a 93 notch and tryin to figure out if I want to leave the interior out. I pulled it all with the intention of just rhino lining the inside and putting two seats in up front.

I like driving my cars WAY too much to gut it completely. My 2 friends helping me build it are pretty shocked I am not going power steering or AC in it lol. I have 2 racing seats I bought as well I will be putting in probably with new carpet.

Made a little progress this weekend. Its back on all fours with new brakes all the way around. Upgraded to 86 svo calipers and rotors up front and strange brakes out back. Got the motor all put together. Installed ls6 ported oil pump, fbody oil pan, pickup tube and windage tray, ls2 hd timing chain, ls7 lifters and cam. Painted it all up. Just gotta check ptv clearance next weekend and hope to get the motor and trans back in. Now for some pics!

FYI best to install the front timing cover loose and then install the balancer before torqing it (the timing cover) down. This forces it to center on the balancer so the front main seal doesn't leak. GM makes a special tool for doing it w/o using the balancer. You may already know this and have already done that.

The car orginally had jeg stars on it when I bought it but I had to buy actual prostars for the rear with the 5/8in studs I'm using. Still have the jegs up front. They need a good polishing to match the welds on the rear.

Yeah I read that the other day. We are going to loosen it back up when we put the balancer on. Just wanted to get some pics of the motor painted up. Thanks for the heads up tho! Greatly appreciated!

LOL yes it is. That's my buddies 91 coupe. Its in the process of getting a 410ci sbc. The motor should make 650-700hp, no reason it shouldn't make 700. Best of the best in that motor! Nasty a$$ 410ci motor + powerglide + 2600lb coupe = one nasty car!!!

Yeah I knew I would be changing some things on the car but not quite this much. Oh well, its done right now!! And the Rams, I was big into diesels for a few years and those 2 were twin turbo (64/s480 twins), big injectors, dual cp3s, and some tuning. I actually miss them quite a bit but they weigh so much and with all that power they tend to break things lol. The 06 was a megacab that weighed 8100lbs and was full luxury! Every option available from the factory. Was even featured in Diesel World magazine with a 6 page article on it. Wasn't that fast from a dig being a 6spd but held its own with basically anything from a roll when running full boost. Never ran across anything that would hang with it really.

OK so we've made a little progress. Clutch and trans are in, cross member mounted, headers on, trunion rocker upgrade done, valve covers and coil packs on, fuel rails and a few other small things. Fo some reason these pics didn't turnout too well on my phone.

Now that the car is back on the ground we can see how it sits. I'm sure the springs will settle a little bit so we are going to be doing some adjusting to the suspension.

Can you post a pic of the throttle cable bracket? I picked up a used one locally and it didnt come with the bracket. I used the stock fbody one but it looks bulky on it. What throttle cable you plan on using?

I can this weekend. I actually just got the all the brackets and hardware from Edelbrock the other day. They shorted me on eveything. Haven't thought too much about the throttle cable yet, guess I probably need to. lol
