Hooker Super Comp Swap headers 1st Gen Camaro/Nova
#2
I know this is not what you are asking about, but i used ARH headers and dirty dingo slider brackets. They are both NICE pieces. The headers don't hang below the sub no more than a half inch if that and the sliders are Sweet. You can position the engine where you want it quick and easy.

The ARH headers look very nice but they're about twice what I can afford. The mounts are a good idea though. I like the idea of being able to fine-tune the motor position. Seems like it would make any header choice a little more flexible.

Just put the Hooker Plates on and installed my engine this past weekend, fit was very close to the firewall on the passenger side but I'm okay with that, still about an inch clearance. Getting the motor in required patience so as not to do too much damage to the firewall paint/crossmember powdercoat
BTW, these plates allow you to use the stock Fbody pan and clear stock steering linkage on 67 camaros. And the Hooker Headers provide good ground clearance as well, good for us So Cal low riders, lol

Hooker rep stated in a magazine article that the sbc super comps for gen1 fbody was their #1 seller several yrs ago. And my set hit the box the same way.
I refuse to buy hookers again because they refuse to fix #3 hitting the steering box. It's not as if they are the cheapest set. And they've been making them for decades.
DCx, your asking for trouble with all those hose clamps.
Get push lok hose, ends' and a tee at hydraulic shop. SBD has to have one close.

I don't know whether they're 1" or 2", but they are designed to put the LS1 in the same spot as the SBC (for 67-69 Camaro/Firebird).
