Other then the injectors I need the headers and the motor is ready to be dropped in. Can't wait!
You can get used factory LS3 injectors at a reasonable price. They are of a very good quality. A lot of them will have very low milage as they are off new cars that are being converted to forced induction.

I used the holley 42 lb injectors on mine with the adapter from the ev6 to ev1 for my holley hi ram intake on my 6.0 with ls3 heads. I also used the Hedman long tube swap headers on my Malibu wagon, they fit pretty good but not perfect.

I saw a few of the ev1 or ev6 injectors new for about what people want for used on here. I just didn't want to buy crap brands and I have no clue which are a quality brand for the not so rich and famous lol. And I want to go with 42s so down the road when I want more power these will be efficient enough.

As for the headers I'm going with stainless steal ones so I have no rusty headers like my old cermaic coated ones looked like.

How's yours running so far?

Thanks! I'm really excited now since two months ago the CSR was not being touched and was just sitting in my Buddy's garage. I'm really getting pumped to work on this and be able to drive it next spring. Its been two show seasons since I've had something to drive/show. I want mine done! Lol

My pops made me some wooden platforms that will help out for multiple reasons. One is when we are ready to coat the undercarriage we can coat the front suspension first than install the wheels and put the car on these so the car can sit on the blocks with nothing touching the frame so it can cure without any issues. Plus, when it comes to getting the drive shaft measurements we can have the car sit on these completely to get the suspension at its ride height.

Its running good, I did the initial tune on it to get it running and driving and kept the rpms low. I had it tuned a couple weeks ago and its like night and day when tuned properly. Mine wasn't bad, but I just didn't feel confident in pushing it and after the intake install I wanted it tuned right. Now I'm turning it about 6500 and there is still plenty on the table, motor should be good to 7000. I'm just not ready to push it there yet. It runs good shifting at 6500. I want to get it on the dyno at the street machine nationals at the end of the month. We'll see what kinda power it makes. I have a good idea but just don't want to predict it at this point. I've got close 1500.00 in the intake, injectors, adapters, fittings, braided lines, etc. The injectors and adapters were about $450.00.

If I was gonna buy a stainless I'd buy Kooks, yes they are high but the quality is there for the money you pay. One of the tubes on the pass side is hitting the bracket on the control arm. I'm going to have to move the engine forward this winter to correct that. They also hang very low, I wish I'd done a different header myself. I should have just done the mid tubes. I've had the exhaust done a couple times just to have clearance from the ground, now most of thats my problem since I'm running drop spindles with QA1 coilovers, I like them low. All in all its been a good swap, just waiting till next year to spray it and it will be at least 150 or maybe 200 shot.

Well IM either going with the obx headers or the TSP headers. Heard very good reviews on both. TSP 1-3/4 long tubes should be out this month so I should be good to go.

Yea I'm hoping its the same and the primary only needs a dent or slight modding. My shop that is doing the tune can do the header mod if need be. Just hoping its nothing major.

Hey now! Updates with pictures!

Got off my lazy butt and got some work done on the 8.5 rear and the sway bar. I cleaned them up with the three step process and coated them with the RustSeal. I must say stuff went on nice and smooth and I'm excited to see how it looks when fully cured. I ended up going with Satin Black since I think that will end up looking better.

On top of that, I recieved my 4l80e trans X-member from Iceman. Looking to coat that hopefully this weekend as well. Anyways, heres the pictures....

I applied the second coat about 1.5 hrs ago, so 93.5 hrs to go for full cure time. I have the X-Member for the trans to coat still, the GN gas tank and the rear aftermarket control arms I received. I bought them from another forum member but they were powder coated red. Which is NOT going to be on here in that color, lol. So they are going to blast cabinet to get the powder off than its coating them.

Besides that, I have hopefully a day and a half of work on the car next week. Hopefully, HOPEFULLY Weds will be the prep day and Friday will be the coating day of the cars frame, rad support, and undercarriage.

Hope this is a half decent update for you guys.
