I am torn between the Kooks and the Dynatech.....Kooks $930...Dyna $630. I really really like the Kooks, but just don't know if they are worth the extra $300.

Thank you all for the compliments, this car is my baby, and I can't believe I am tearing the motor and tranny out after just completing the car this past spring. I just love the LS motor and 6 speed.....I know I will enjoy the car even more now. I hope to have this back on the road this coming spring.

Thanks......You car looks awesome as well. Sucks you sold it, but just look for another one. Seems like you just don't see many of this body style around much.

One of the sponsor is offering a nice little discount for the Kooks. You might want to check it out.http://shop.brutespeed.com/Kooks-645...450-S-0711.htm I plan to go with the Kooks myself I figured for the cost of coated dougs or hookers for a $100 I can get the Kooks why not.

True, the only thing I didnt like about the Kooks is how #4 cyl pipe crosses over top of 6 and 8 ( you can see it in brutespeeds pics). The Dyns's all go straight down.

Here are some pics of my progress. I am starting to get the wiring sorted out, I am trying to hide the wiring the best I can for a clean look. I got my valve covers back from the polisher and got them installed with the coil packs. 42lb Racetronic injectors installed. I am using a braided wire loom for the wiring.....very time consuming getting all the wires through it and then out of it at the right spot. [IMG][/IMG]

I got my Tick Perf clutch master installed over the weekend, and I set the motor in place to make sure everything was gonna fit ok. I will be pulling the motor back out to finish up some wiring in the engine bay, then set it back in for the final time. Here are some pics.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Ok so I have made some progress....I have the motor installed in the car for the final time, I got my 6 speed installed...I used the G-Force crossmember, and it couldn't have fit any better. It went in like it was original parts. I installed my Auto meter senders for oile and water, got my harness routed into the car, and got my shifter hole cut. I think I am gonna have to eliminate my 4 speed hump in the tunnel and make it more like an automatic tunnel.

I got the 4 speed hump cut out of my tunnel, and made a new panel to close up the floor. I need to make a smaller removable panel to go around the shifter. I also got my 6ga wire ran from my alt to a 150 amp fuse, then over to the battery.

Well guy's I have an awesome opportunity....Stainless Works picked my car to do their research and development for the 2nd gen Camaro headers. I dropped my car off yesterday, and I must sayit is a very impressive place. Jason and George are awesome to deal with, and the equipment in the shop is second to none. They will have my car for approxmately 3 weeks, then Jason is saying 2-4 weeks later the headers will be available for the public. I would definately get ahold of them to see about a group purchase to kick this thing off. Maybe we can now have a header that will fit correctly!

Great new on the headers. I am currently doing a ls/t56 swap with my 70 Chevelle and using Stainless Works Headers and they fit perfect. They also look great. Good luck with the rest of your build, it looks like your at the same point I am at but I am also adding the vintage air kit. I wish adding the air kit was as easy as adding the headers.
