Default motor mount power angle

When making your own engine mounts what is the angle you shoot for, I'm going to be building a drag car. If I remember correctly it's 5 degrees, but not positive.

Do a seach online. Lots out there on driveline angles. You want it to match the rear end angle. I think most reccomend 3 degrees down on the trans output, 0 degrees on the driveshaft, 3 degrees up on the front of the differential.

^^^There should be corresponding, matching angles at the trans & differential.
0 degrees will wear out your u-joints much faster.

My fault for not enough info. My carb mount is at 0. Before I measured the transmission shaft, it was at 15 degrees. My concern was driveshaft vibration. My pinion angle hasn't changed.

I went 3* on my engine/tranny, and I have mocked the rear end at the same. I heavily modded my frame for autocross, and I put a lot of adjustability into the crossmember, to change my angle if need be. There is a tad bit of maneuverability built into my solid engine mounts I made, if the need arises to change the drivetrain angle. Build thread coming soon!

So you take the angle measurement at the tailshaft of the tranny on the rear seal flange then match the rear pinion angle?

Yes, I had to get adjustable upper trailing arms to get my pinion angle up 3 degrees to match the trans angle down 3 degrees.
A quick google of driveshaft geometry will give pics...here.
