the Carbon Fiber nose was flawed, so we removed it until they can provide a new one in 8 weeks or more. The car is still at the paint shop. When it returns, we will final assemble it, install the correct 70-72 graphics, and dyno tune it. We will have to change the springs to get the correct lower ride height once all the weight is in it.
The car is my personal build and I appreciate the compliments.

Awesome build, and great choice on the updated but original build style. I was on the fence about painting the engine blue in my '70 GTO, but opted to go natural alum since its an LS1. Keep posting the progress!

LS1 Speed Inc,
Looks awesome. I prefer Chevys, but that style of Bird is one of my fav. Pontiacs. So what rim size and backspacing did you use? Tire brand and size? Clearance issues?
thanks,
Jim

Great job. I'm doing a similar style build with my white 70 T/A, but keeping the Pontiac motor, as it is a real T/A, though rebuilt with roller cam, ez-efi, RS-600, pro-touring f-body suspension, and custom billet 18 inch Pontiac rally II wheels.
The LS motor lends itself well to the "tribute" theme with correct Pontiac blue paint, as it has a "valley pan", so to speak, like a Pontiac motor.
Can't wait to see more. How do I subscribe to this thread?

We had a problem with the IAC on the Holley TB, so we swapped it out with a lower profile, higher flowing Accel unit. It comes with a spacer that sits on top of it, below the air cleaner. We milled that spacer at a 5* angle to get the shaker at the right angle. It still sits roughly 1/2" higher than the original setup did, but it seems like the seal that runs on the perimeter of the shaker will compress enough, so there shouldnt be an issue there.
Headlights, grilles, front valance, rear panel, tail lights are all in. Interior is about 90%. I will get some pictures posted of that stuff soon.
