1964 Chevelle LS1/T56 swap

I extended my filter setup off to one side a bit more. I will eventually work on a cold air box down in front of the passenger fender. I drove the car to work today! What a kick in the *** it is. Hit the freeway on the way home and with the 4.11 gear it cruises at 65mph @ 1400 rpm in 6th and 70mph at 1500rpm.

I picked up some corvette fuel rail covers from Jegs this week. I had to enlarge the fuel line opening for my 8AN line and notch the passenger side for the throttle cable bracket and they snapped right into place.
The car has been running like a champ and loads of fun!

look at an IROC console.
Here is one UNMODIFIED in my 69 nova.
You might be able to cut it down a little in the front to fit under you dash.
Just a suggestion, nice to use stock parts when you can.
Plus, it has a nice arm rest, carpeted sides and shifter boot.

Great job !!
Im doing my 66 Chevelle LS1/TKO as I type, theres a ton of work involved for sure.
I have a few questions;
What front pulley assembly is on your LS ? I have a Camero assembly and the alt. hits the steering box, so it has to be relocated.
Im planning on routing my harness through the tunnel and installing it under the pass. seat. Where did you put your panel,with relays,fuses comp. ?
What type of fuel filter is that ? Is your return fuel line dead ending at the filter, rather than at the fuel tank ?
Thanks Bill

Nice job on your swap. I am working a deal with another guy to pick up his 64 wagon 2 door this summer. I'm thinking a 5.3/4L60e combo with A/C,cruise,the works. Should make a fun cruiser/family hauler.

I was doing some searches for custom consoles to accomodate a T-56 and yours inspired me.
Definitely doing my own, instead of these bandaid replacements from 4th gens or 3rd gens, or Factory ones.
