You gotta put the turbo somewhere!

The boss on the drivers side is for a belt drive dry sump scavenge pump. There is a picture of on in the other Gen V thread in the news section.

I assume they are going with an electric PS pump much like the hybrid trucks.

The humps are baffle for the PCV system it stated it in the press release somewhere in it.

It's two piece plastic welded together.

The bellhouse looks Gen V unique, looks like they had to off set the top bolt hole due to the DI pump drive.

I'm all for advancement in technology and all this sounds great. But the best thing I see out of this is it could bring down the price of LSX parts.

Its the annoying sound for me...I can't stand diesel engines.

I honestly don't see a need to continue with the LS engines. I agree, they make good power, but they have their problems too. I think a new engine is a good way to go. Just think of all the upgrades you had to do, to not only make more power , but fix or improve not up to par parts. Sometimes its easier to just start over or change a foundation rather than find a bunch of fixes for an existing foundation. If you look at the new LT block, Looks LS to me.

-Rockers
-Oil consumption in PVC system
-Rod Bolts
-Oil Pumps
-#7 piston seems to be popular
etc..etc...
