Put the right engine/drivetrain in it and quit abusing it. FOUR blown engines in a row, points straight to its owner.
The first 2 engines where from the original owner the 3rd engine was a junkyard engine and this 4th engine was a brand new long block from GM that my local GM installed on my warranty just for it to loose compression in a cylinder after 2800 miles that's right 2800 miles with out being beat on and after that the GM dealer told me they won't fix the electric issue with the fuel/timing that is causing the issues with the engines I can't be the only person experiencing this issue with 2.0t yes a 283 is a relic but they still keep running 70 years later vs this junk 2.0t that only got 19mpg that a 283 can get with a 500cfm carb

Most modern engines outlive the older engines by far. Most LS engines go 200-300k miles before pulling the heads. Engines from the 70's and before couldn't go 100k without a valve job or a complete overhaul, your vaunted 283 among them. It and a 500cfm carb are the last things to put into a modern car. Oldies aren't always goodies.
You had bad luck with the 2.0. So did the first owner. If he went thru 2 engines, what made you think this car was a good buy?
Get rid of the car, cut your losses and get something with a better track record.
A late caddy with ancient 283/700R4 is opening up a fresh can of worms with a fresh set of nightmares.

I'm curious are you running premium in your 2.0T? I have a 2016 ATS 2.0T and I absolutely love it but I also only run premium in it. It says premium is recommended but not required. I figure with a 4 cylinder making this much power on boost 87 octane can't be good for it.

I think the OP bailed on us when he realized what a bucket of **** his car would be with a 283/700R4.

heres some progress 350/700r4.. takes time to pioneer something that never has been done plus work out issues as they arrive let alone on a family mans salary and I went to this sight only looking for any information I could but was no help at all from closed minded people. It's perfectly OK to think outside the box and do something diferent
