Well If yall caught in my other thread I ended up finding an LQ4 Mad cheap.

That being said I can now switch around what direction I want to go with the Mustang this is the combo I'm HIGHLY considering

6.0 LQ4 stock bottom end (ARP main studs, Head bolts, Rod bolts)
Carb'd Vic Jr
Custom cam
Patriot Gold extremes
Stock 243's
TH350 JW 3800 stall (Probably going to go a bigger now)
And when time comes 150 shot
3.73s
All hopefully in a sub 3000 pound fox

Car is going to be a strictly car I drive at the track with a tag on it just for fun when I want to mess around on the street.

THOU SHALL RIP!

Well a buddy of mine who's putting the motor together for me (stationed in SC all my stuff is in FL) picked up the motor yesterday

Few of the pictures he took for me. Going to get the block honed re-bearing and re ring it and call it a day braced with the ARP hardware you see in the picture not much progress but its a step forward!!

LOL! Nice badges, I was going 5.3 also and like you will be switching to a 6.0 setup. I'm not sure what cam I wanna go with, will be all motor for awhile till I can afford N2O setup.

Cam that ordered along with spring kit and push rods. Blocks good getting honed and tanked and thats going to be it

Tick performance custom grind (He Posted it so not airing out anything)
283/294@.006
234/242@.050
155/162@.200
110LSA 107ICL 113ECL

234/242 .602"/.615" 110+3

Steps in the right direction also got the 243 heads picked up they are pretty clean actually I'm still up on the air now seeing as no one local will fly cut pistons (That I've found yet) but picking up the Car tomorrow will have more pics for you guys

Since you have 6L block, L92 are an option.. I would go that route and sell me your 243s!

I doubt you will need to have your pistons flycut.

That might be getting close. Use some old head gaskets to mock it up and check before going through the trouble of flycutting. Also, check out the thread on flycutting your pistons yourself for free (well almost free). LOL

With the research I've came up with cutting them .080 seems like the norm
