I wouldn't just cut them .080" deeper without measuring what's needed. That would be enough clearance if you had zero clearance before cutting them deeper.

Picked up the car today I bought it sight unseen other than pictures.........I'm more than happy with the gamble not a BIT of rust on the car any where not even on the undercarriage and for a FLorida car is near impossible Surface rust on the rack is all I could find. only thing I could find wrong was it missing a Pin on the hood and why you see the Bungie cord LOL

Not sure If I'm lucky or not I've gotten crap from members on other forums for finding deals hell I got a 6.0 short block MINT with oil pan rockers and everything with 317's a 5.3 with 243 heads and another 5.3 with 5.3 heads a Set of LS1 pistons ARP main studs all for 650. Needless to say I have 0.00$ in my 243's and 6.0 Some more goodies 
But Car dropped 135 pounds today dash that was in it was a hack job where someone just put the whole dash on 2 post and welded it to the frame. Took it out and will be getting a aluminum dash and Center console

Well thats because there really isn't much of the wiring left seeing as I won't need it for anything lol
Scored a Built TH350 and machine work on my heads is complete and rods will be done either later today or tomorrow so pics to come very shortly!!

My heads and Rods are done!! Picking them up next time I'm in town which will be the 22nd everything but the Pick up tube bottom end wise is bought and ready to go in then swapping pushrods and checking PTV then another waiting game for Intake/MSD/Headers/Driveshaft etc etc I'll make sure to take plently pics next time I'm down........Slowly but surely the end of April Deadline is looking better and better!!

Update:
Well heads and rods are done just a matter of picking them up the 22nd when I'm back down in Florida. Scored a TH350 as well for the build out of my grandfathers Monte as of right now combo has changed a tad new additions are
