How was it doing the dash? I'm been wanting to switch to black interior. Once my motor swap is done I may do the interior color change.

I did it with Vinyl spray paint the dash is pretty simple to take out 5 screws up top and 2 on the frame on the sides....Plus my car not needing any wiring and just putting the dash in there for looks I wasn't too worried about it just wanted to keep the inside looking as stock as possible for some classes that require that

Update:

Parts for the coupe have my phone ringing off the the hook.....Build is on hold till everything off the coupe and a court date I have then its pedal to the metal getting this thing finished before my April Time line!!

I did a bit of that on my build. Sold the factory airbags and whatever interior I didn't need as well as some of the factory parts off the 5.3 that I wasn't going to use. The extra money was put to good use towards the swap.

Good to see my car wasn't the only one with the home brew boxed uppers, mine had the lowers and uppers boxed. When I saw that all I could do was laugh and think of how proud the redneck was who did it haha.

With those Megabite Jrs, weld up and reinforce the torque boxes and body side LCA mounts real well. They tear up the chassis pretty good over time.

Back in the late 80's and very early 90's boxed uppers and lowers were about the only options. SVO/FMS actually used to sell boxed uppers in their catalog way back then. Everything old is new again eventually.
