Been thinking more and more about making the trip up there to get your wiring all square when the time comes. Kinda hard to do that one from here.

And maybe a few more late nights with a bottle of crown and "fireworks" LMAO
It will be good times

Nothing big, but ported the TB while the tools were flying. Also the throttle linkage will be chromed as its steel

Timing cover

...and a start on the valve covers

Looks good! What equipment and materials did you use to achieve the finish we see? How long did it take? Are your plans to have the stuff clear powdedrcoated, which works well by the way, or are you going to devote a couple hours a months to polishing everything.

Thanks guys

Rod,

I didnt do the polishing one of my friends in KC did it all as he does it on the side. He does great work and he did some work for me for my SSS I had. I dont plan to clear coat everything as clear coat seems to turn into a yellowish tint after time and heat cycles. Also having to touch everything up after awhile, thats called a labor of love. Its not as bad as you would think it would be.

I am not talking about a celar you would use to topcoat your car. I am talking about powdercoating it clear. I used an acrylic clear powdercoating on my Vintage Frontrunner and it protected the polished surfaces from the elements. They do the same thing for rime and it holds up nicely to heat and normal road/engine grime.

Yes it does hold up a lot better but in the end will still craze and yellow.

With the polish I left with him last time I was up in MO he will not have any problem keeping the stuff nice. He can get away with a once a year polish with the stuff I gave him.

More progess on the body work

Smooth firewall. Also you can see the gaping hole in the trans tunnel. If you remember it was so cobbled up from previous shifter installs a new panel is going in. Also the blower motor hole will be filled in too

Slow progress as I have quite a bit going on lately. Bought a new house and just got mine sold. Plus a few other distractions. We're still chuggin along
