After going for several spins around the block....and putting some miles on the car...
its becoming apparent that I need change in transmission or converter, or both.....
so I had a decision to make...
and I've decided instead of trying to re-stall the converter and hope its right and then possibly have issues with blowing off the tire still anyways....

I'm just going to change to a Powerglide

so...the TCI 6x Transmission is out of the car....and has been sold

I bought a new Holley Dash to use with my setup...

so I made a new Dash plate, and I mounted all my pieces into it...
hopefully I will be able to get the wiring done on it this weekend....

I am not using the new Holley Dash as my main Gauge cluster...I'm using it to show the extra data that I dont really need to look at much...
and I've already set up a screen that has all my other sensor data on it...and if there is an issue, the sensor data will light up red...
so no red, no issues, no need to look at the holley dash...

my primary use for the Holley Dash will be as my boost control interface
so I decided to put it off to the right side since I have the most space there.

My Powerglide is Done.....

BTE SFI Spec Case (Fully Rollerized)
Roller Bearings and a Planetary Priority Oiling System
Steel Band Adjustment Screw
10 Clutch High-Gear Drum with Forged Steel Clutch Hub
Two-Piece Shift Lever
BTE Ringless Turbo Spline Vasco Input Shaft
BTE High Volume Race Pump
BTE Top Sportsman Transbrake Valve Body (255 lbs of pressure)
BTE 9310 Straight Cut 1.80 Gearset
Wide Kevlar Racing Band
Billet Two Ring Servo
Performance Servo Spring
BTE Roller Billet Governor Support
BTE Roller Tail housing / Rear Cover
Forged and Oversized (TH400) 4340 Output Shaft
BTE Super-Cool Deep Aluminum Pan

Long story short.....if there was an upgrade available for it...it got it....
this is the best of every part that could be put into a powerglide...
this thing will Handle everything I can possibly throw at it...and then some...and then some on top of that...

Still going to be a few weeks until I put it in the car....need to buy a converter....

and then probably another couple of weeks till I can afford a Chromoly Driveshaft that has the Proper Nitride hardened Yoke and a High speed balancing done to it

Maybe I can have the car up and running again by my birthday in march..LOL

whats up with getting rid of it??

why do you think power steering cant be used or should not be used..

back to back dyno test on multiple cars.... we show people all the time its only worth about 5-6 HP most of the time.....
so why have to gorilla arm steer when you can keep your power steering and not have to fight it...

if you put a couple of shims in the pressure valve to lower the pressure some and you get a stiffer power steering than from the factory, so you get the feel and response of the road without all the fight of manual steering

Lets just say I got a great deal....and it still cost me my first born child....

But seriously... I got a good deal on it because we build transmissions....
And somebody else ran out of money and could no longer afford this transmission...

Wow, just read from the beginning. Awesome setup currently. Hopefully you'll be happy with it and can get some miles/passes, and smiles on it

I've been Cataloging this build on this site, and a few others I frequent as well....
so to avoid confusion and trying to remember which ones I updated and to keep from having to copy and paste to each site....

I'm stopping posting it here...and instead...
I started a facebook page just for my build....

Please Like my page, and follow it there..
