Any links for larger photos? I like to keep a variety scrolling across my desktop and this would be a great addition!

For anyone who wants the contact info, shoot me a PM as I don't want to post his email on here. I will have better/higher res images once I get it. He is in Poland so it will take a few weeks to arrive. This is the first of a few I am having him do.

Just had a new inner/outer tie rods and boots installed, alignment done by a well known guy in town and all new Continental extreme contact DW's installed. It's like a whole new experience!!

I've got the Conti's too. They've got decent straightline traction, but the corners are a little spongy. I don't mind for the daily duty though. They're comfy for summer tires.

Do you have the DW's or DWS's? My car is slammed on coilovers with a 1.25" sway bar so I haven't noticed any issues through the turns so far But I am also still breaking the motor in and haven't taken it above 4k.

I had dropped off my car with a friend on Monday. I just got the best call of the summer. He has made my A/C lines and it's holding the pressure Now he is about to start hooking up the switch so my LSx 427 E39 should have ice cold Cadillac CTSv a/c by the end of the weekend!!! I am so excited!!

AC is the best haha, I can't imagine mine without it. I like the custom bimmer logo, GMW. lol, should get some of those made for the car

Pardon my intrusion but I've read through your thread on the Bimmer forum, and most of this one. That car is immaculate and I've been pretty fascinated lately with LS swaps (join the club, eh?). Of course I already have a CTS-V but I'm still intrigued by what you, and other BMW folks, have been doing. Nice work.

I actually am replying to second the comment about soft sidewalls on the Conti DWs. I ordered a set of 4 for my CTS-V back in 2011, as I was planning a driving vacation down to Charlotte and western NC, including the Tail of the Dragon. I wanted good tires. The DW seemed like a great value so I got a set from Tirerack.

I put about 500 miles on them and was absolutely not satisfied with the way they felt in a corner. Sent them back, upgraded to a set of the Michelin PSS and haven't looked back. The PSS isn't even the most responsive tire or anything but I have been very happy with them. Worth the extra cost, especially since they're so much more reasonable than the PS2. I've got the FG2 "Nurburgring" shocks on my CTS-V (1st gen) so I wanted a tire that matched. For what you've done with your car, I'd be shocked if the DW was sufficient but maybe with the low sidewall you have, they're fine.

Thanks for the input. I haven't noticed any ill effects with the tires. Although, just this week, I started getting a very subtle vibration from about 60+ and have been told to check tire pressure. I forgot to do so last eve Someone else had said they got some vibration when the DW's weren't at the right pressure. I have noticed it's much harder to spin the tires with the DW's which is good. My best friend was in town from FL on Monday and he convinced me to do my first burnout. Which was awesome!!

I have looked at CTS-v wagons and still consider one from time to time. My friend just had a 1200hp CTS-v in his shop last week and told me that's what I need for my next car

Took some photos of all my rides and had to get the LS/S62 engine bays side by side. I just picked up the M5 as a DD. Just needs bumpers.

Luxury cars are expensive new but loose value hard after a few short years. Best way to get a bad *** car for normal car money

Well aware of that as I'm driving a 10 year old V--but he's gotten 3 or so in the last 6 months. One of which has a ton of top-of-the-line conversion parts which clearly has a ton of $$ into it.

Just jealous, that's all.

But srsly, wtf do you do?

lol, thanks! I am a financial advisor. I got all my vehicles relatively cheap. Other than the LSx E39, I paid less for all my cars than most people pay for one new car. I got the M5 so cheap that I feel like I practically stole it (even though it's got the highest KBB value, it's the car I paid the least for ). The plan was originally to flip it but that was before I saw and drove it. I love it too much to get rid of. At least for now....

I recently tried to sell the Volvo V70R (My previous DD before the truck and M5) but didn't have any luck on ebay so the wifey is driving it now.

“Hi, can I have a chicken salad with avocado?” “Avocado costs $1 extra, do you still want it?” “Hold on, let me call my financial adviser.”
