Did you pay less than $6500 for the M5? Unfortunately hat's what my buddy just sold his for. It needed the seats to be redone and a few cheap odds and ends but BMW people expect the car to be perfect for $6500

HAha, there isn't much that's "cheap" when it comes to BMWs--hence the LS swaps. But $6500 for an M5 is a deal.

They aren't nearly as expensive as you think. M specific parts are but the trim pieces and little things the car needed weren't M specific so all of it can easily be had at a local junkyard

Nice getting a glance at the car today Brandon, sounded awesome and made me want to get going on my next swap ASAP. Love to check it out in detail next time you're by my way. Here's a pic of the LSX swap in my vette, but not trying to hijack. Thanks!

Nice vette, John!!!

No real new updates with the touring other than installing the holy grail of all trim. Birch anthracite. Been looking for this for a long time and had a heck of a time trying to decide whether to install in the touring or the M5. But the touring is already a factory "individual" car so made more sense..

I did finally get my rear suspension dialed in where I like it. Took a lot of trial and error since the spring/shock are separate in the rear. I am also going to replace all the bushings/ball joints etc while the car is parked for the cold months. Come spring, she should be near perfect.

Also, now that the A/C is working, the temps get a little higher at idle so I think a Dewitt larger radiator is in order. Same one Josh (Jesus Freak) is using.

Your car is one badass ride. I love E39 wagons, but your int\ext color combos and driveline take it to a whole new level of awesomeness.

And lastly, Photos by Greggory May at aMAYzing Photography. He has a sweet rear tow mount camera rig for his STI.

I love the pics on the road with the autumn colors and the leaves blowing around from the lead car - very cool!

As others have already said repeatedly, fantastic build! Your attention to detail on this car (and the cars you posted at the beginning of the thread) really shines through.

Did you get the car re-tuned after the intake tract mods and the motor rebuild? Just curious if it ended up cracking 500rwhp as you thought it would. (Not that the original 475rwhp was anything to scoff at! )

I want your car and clays car to have a baby. I don't quite know what it'd look like, but it would probably be dark, sexy, and fast as F%$K.

Not yet. But the day it hit 475, the intake was right next to the motor. The tuner said the heat soak was killing my performance as it was pulling some timing. I put the intake right behind the fog light opening in the bumper and now AIT is at ambient so I can't imagine I am not currently right at 500/500. I need to get a bigger radiator before another tuning session.
