My motor finally shipped from Thomson. Should arrive Monday. Here is a great article on my chosen motor that Clay found online for me ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

Also here are some recent photos as I added the M5 front bumper and M5 side trim. I also purchased a black dash and black carpet for my interior swap from tan to black.

The question I get most often is why am I going with an iron block. My answer is always first "Because GMPP 427 duh" and second, "b/c this is a station wagon". Weight isn't that big of a consideration for this project.

Here is my motor. Thomson built GM performance LSX 427.
http://www.streetrodderweb.com/tech/...ce_lsx_engine/
I am waiting on specifics but from what I understand, the engine I got was one of a few leftover 427's that they further tweaked. My friend said at the very least, the cam was upgraded and that it made over 600 and revs to 7k. Either way, it has new internals and was put on the engine dyno so I should have the dyno sheet and additional specs soon
The motor came with CTSV acc kit and an E67 Stand alone ECU kit. Now all I need is my trans and I am ready to begin.

I just got the Magnum with a 2.66 1st gear. This one also has a custom adapter for the bell housing to fit a ZR1 clutch and flywheel. I am also getting a hotter cam and better rockers
The goal is 600 rwhp. In addition, I just bought a 3.62 ring and pinion gear from an e46 m3. This will go in the m5 diff that I am on the hunt for now.

My friend sourced that out so I will have to ask him when he is back in town. I still need to figure out a shifter solution as that one is about 5" too far forward. I know the t56 with GTO shifter fits perfect.
Picked up the M5 diff, axles and driveshaft. I plan on having the stock DS modified to fit the GM slip yolk fitting.
