Tackled the subframe and diff bushings. Here are some more pix of the bay. The filters will not fit with the hood on so I plan to run pipe down into the fender wells and put the elements there.

Fired it up again and blipped the throttle. Sounds like Nascar lol.

I will need to get another video this week. Clay had pointed out that my brake master vac line is still not hooked up and open so I had a major vacuum leak. My turn-one power steering fitting arrives today so I can put the belt back on and let it run for a while to see how it idles.

My exhaust guy has had the car for almost 4 weeks and nothing has been done. I knew he takes a while but didn't know it was going to be this long

He does great work at incredibly low prices though so....

I just picked up my modified M5 driveshaft. Couldn't get it balanced though as no one had the template for the rear section. Will just keep my fingers crossed and hope there are no vibrations.

My exhaust guy said he will get going on it this weekend. I had two 5 ft 3" SS tubes, 4 V bands and 2 universal 3" tail pipe sections (with 4-45's and 1-90 bend in each) all drop shipped to him. As well as 4- 3" polished SS tips.

This is the look I am going for.

Picked up my modded M5 driveshaft. No one could balance it so I will just have to get it in to get the car going and then send it off if there are any issues. I believe Nsogbia said he didn't have his balanced and it was fine. There was almost zero runout. It's not pretty b/c I don't care about it being painted since it's covered by a shield anyway.

The intake looks good, but I've always heard those twin cone setups cause more turbulence and are less efficient that a single bent pipe. With the upper radiator hose running to the driver's side, an intake to the passenger area behind the headlight may work better and get cooler air.

As for the exhaust...

Quality
Cheap
Fast

Pick two

I already have the twin intake and 2 4" tubes, couplers and filters to try the dual filters in the fender wells so I will give it a shot. I may end up going the single route but really want to have the aesthetics as well. I really don't like the single intake look as much. Should have her on the dyno in the next 2 weeks

Indeed on your last bit there. When I used to build custom furniture, I had that on a sign in my shop.

I just stopped by the guys house doing the work and the diff mount looks great. He had all my exhaust parts on the floor ready to go and said he might be able to knock most of it out tomorrow, working all day on it.

Swagon, I don't know about the performance of the dual, but the aesthetics are wonderful. Some times things just need to be lovely

The wheels are Varrstoen Volk TE37 replicas. The suspension is from Fortune Auto. They are local to me. I have the first touring set they made and can't wait to test them out. If all works out, they will be offering a touring kit soon.

More pix in high res instead of crappy cell shots. He now just has to finish welding all the seams.

Got the M5 driveshaft and axles in, all the hoses buttoned up, power steering hooked up, coolant system bled etc etc. Took it for the first drive around the neighborhood. It's an absolute beast. You just blip the throttle and it barks at you like a mad dog. Only cats on it now as the exhaust guy is finishing up the seams on the rear section.
