Ordered the last parts I need, the power steering fittings. Just waiting on all the smalls to arrive and I am hoping my friend ordered the starter from GM. Taking half of next week off to get it wrapped up. Then will have to get the driveshaft and exhaust done. I figure it will be running very soon and driving by the end of June still. I hope! I am like a kid at Xmas.

Having a hard time finding the fitting for the slave cylinder. Does anyone know what I need? I want to convert this GM fitting to a -4AN. I bought one that was a TR6060 to -4AN but it wasn't even remotely close to fitting. The smaller bubble flare is the BMW obviously and I already have an adapter that converts that to -4AN.

Delete the fitting and replace it with a standard piece of braided line. There should be a roll pin in the slave cylinder. You can get the fittings that go into the slave. It removes the orifice restrictions and allows the slave to be more responsive as well.

I found out the clearance wasn't going to be an issue and ordered the one in the link above.. Hope it works out ok b/c I certainly won't want to pull the trans again once everything is in.

Got the remote bleeder in. My quick disconnect fitting will be here Tuesday along with my OEM power steering line to keep the stock cooler. I installed the starter and dipstick while the motor was out again. Taking a few days off next week to get this thing running. My diff should be done in the next 2 weeks and I pick up my headers with he new 3" collectors this evening.
In the meantime, I started cleaning and oiling the seats with leatherique. Just did a 2nd run and they are now sitting in the sunlight under trash bags to really soak in.

Hope this is the last time the motor goes in for a long time. Installed the starter, remote hydraulic clutch bleeder, headers and got most of the engine connectors plugged in. Next will be the fuel system, ignition switch wire and I have to make all the power leads for the ECU/relay box, alt and starter. Lastly, the coolant system. I am taking most of the week off to get it done. Then I will have it towed to my exhaust guy who is also going to attempt to reinforce the front diff mount in the car. Hoping to get the backlash set on the new 3.62 triple clutch M5 diff this week and then all I need is a driveshaft
I finished mounting the rear seat and the passenger seat. The E38 sports are incredible! I am having an issue with the driver seat not moving up and down so hoping to get that resolved before final install.

I got an M5 wheel but my airbag is single stage and the one I got is two stage and will not work. Hoping to trade it out. But the wheel is really easy to swap whenever.
Finalized all the fuel lines and removed the OEM FPR from underneath the car. Routed and installed all the coolant/heater lines (except for the small one on top of the radiator to reservoir) after spending 45 minutes in the back of Autozone looking at hoses. I also installed a 0 gauge power wire from the power terminal to the starter and 4 gauge to the alternator and ecu/relay box. I got my dual intake pipe with MAF flange and PCV fitting from hotrod lane. I will get 45 couplers and straight tubing and angle down and then over using the fender wells for the air filter elements which should arrive on Monday.

Realized I needed AC delco plug pt170 for the starter trigger so I should be firing it up for the first time tomorrow. Hoping a video will follow. Then time for exhaust and driveshaft.

It's alive!!! It's super loud and ridiculously choppy b/c of the cam on stock tune but it's alive!
I only let it run for a few seconds b/c I want to make sure there aren't any leaks or issues. It's too late to run it again and I don't have anyone else here to watch out with a fire extinguisher but I will try and get a video soon. Will probably sound like garbage without exhaust on camera though.
