Looking good. I have a 1978 C20 short bed that I fitted a GEN111 5.7, and 4L60E to.
Love these old trucks, would love an 86, or 87.

Ha ha, would love to. Only problem freight to and from Australia maybe a bit expensive.
Mine has a 73 grill. Its a bitsa, made up of a 1973 C10 short bed, and a 1978 C20 long bed.
Hence the C20 short bed label. Using C20 running gear.

One day I may get a later truck.

Sorry for the very late response brother. My truck is an '84 carb'd so it had no real harness that I could see, just the crap for lights, under hood fuse block, the main harness to the starter and cab. Apart from the main harness tied into my LS harness for power only nothing was used...except for the distribituor wire that I use as a key on source for my ecm.

Got mine running smooth today. Had a problem with the tune. Just have some exhaust leaks since I don't have a good exhaust in it yet.

I'm not really sure it kept going into reduced power mode. I switched gas pedals and tacs and throttle body with no luck. Also thot it was in the wiring harness I made so I bought a new psi harness also no luck. Started talkin to Jon from psi and he figured it was in the tune order a new pcm and presto she runs great so much more power them that old 350. Still need to lower the front a little more cuz of the all aluminum 5.3 but waiting for wheels first so I can figure the ride height.

Yeah, Mine sits up a couple of inches more with the LS1 than the old heavy 6.2 diesel that it had. Gotta get some lower springs. Still running standard C10 springs, and 3" drop spindles.
Have you got a build thread going as well?? Interested in all square builds.

I'm hoping for a 5/7 drop with djm 3" drop control arms and either drop springs or a 2"drop spindle and a triangulated fourlink in the rear watched a show called car fix if you've heard of it they did a c notch that I really like it doesn't go into the bed, they used 6" tube cut it in half and cut the frame around it and welded it I to the frame!

Quick Reply: Cam,intake,exhaust 5.3/4LXXE '85 C10! PIC HEAVY!!!
