ls swap into 75 gm a body

Thanks for the compliments. I am happy that it seems to be running well. I need to have this wrapped up by the end of April so I can get it shipped to my son in San Diego . Got the new tires and Detroit Speed lowering springs on over the weekend. Have not driven it yet because there is no front seats or console/shifter in it yet. Also looking to sink the bumpers. Is the best bet to drill the bumper shocks? Do you weld them in place once the oil is out?

Been busy for the past 3 or 4 weeks so haven't done much on the car. Working on wrapping up the wiring and installing aftermarket gauges. I have a question on the psi harness. There is an orange wire that say "a/c call" on the tag. Do I wire this in to the wire that energizes the clutch on the ac compressor?

Also need to address the rear end gears soon. This car weighs in at around 3800 lbs. Will 3.42 be a good choice for this car. We are looking for a good streetable car that will still get some decent mileage. My son has to survive in California on a sailors wage. LOL

Launching!
Wow, wondering how an A-body of that era would do with an LS swap. My great aunt has a 73/307ci Chevelle Malibu (2 door black on black/ vinyl benches front and rear). Would love to do this, but will never be able to get the car off her, less afford the car or have somewhere to store it even.

Thanks for the compliments. I am trying to keep the interior as stock looking as possible so we are adding an under dash gauge pod to keep track of engine vitals.
This car should be quick with this engine I think. These cars weigh around 3800 lbs so not a lot more than earlier a bodies. With the Detroit Speed lowering springs the handling should be greatly improved over the cushy 70's type suspension.
I don't have a lot of time to work on it this time of year and need to replenish the car fund to continue. If I can get the console and shifter in so I can move it this spring I will be happy.

Wow. I had a 76 Malibu Classic when i was 12 to about 22 years old. It was almost the same color. Same rims and rubber too. Man i miss that car. Did you use adapters in the steering box for the P/S lines? What did you use for hose?

I don't have much time this summer to work on it. Plus need to replenish the car fund. Now with hunting season right around the corner I probably wont get much done till after the first of the year. How is your project coming?
