I just watched your pre-start video and it occurred to me that the 3" MAF tube might be throwing things off if the ECM expects a 90mm or 100mm tube.

Yep, I've got some 4" tubing on the way, should be here tomorrow.

Guy has never driven a Porsche before, does a full LS swap on one from scratch and it starts on the first crank! AWESOME!

Congrats on the progress and things going well. Can't wait to see it going down the road.

Yes, I worked with the original owner for the past 12yrs and always wanted to,but never worked out a test drive. As I was told on another forum even after I drive this one, I still haven't really driven a Porsche, TRUE, LOL!!! I was also told that Porsche is a two syllable word, LOL, not for US rednecks.
LOL !!

Thanks everyone for all the support I've gotten on this thread

Nice job getting over the hump. You have got to be dying to drive that thing.

Looking good, what's the story with the 2 long screws in the deck lid? They look like deck screws but for a different kind of deck

Thanks, Sharp Eyes, Yep, deck screws, I was using those to hold the spoiler in position to epoxy it closed.

Some more beautiful Noise!

Replaced the DOD (Displacement on demand) oil pan, only had about 15psi on the first 2 starts because of an extra hole in the pan, now I've got 30psi. Got a little more done on the 4" intake. Thinking about making a split on the end with 2 filters.

Sounds like it's coming together nicely! I think I get it now, you had to remove the spoiler motors etc and trim the deck lid for clearance right?

The dying in the first startup video, assuming the tune is close, is just from the PCM having not gotten the trims inline. If it keeps happening the tune may need a little tweak. Congrats though. I remember the first time I started my RX up. I damn near did a back flip.

Default DYI Savings

How much did you save by not using a lot of renegade parts?

I did use most the Renegade parts. I bought the conversion kit and the power steering kit. I didn't buy the water pump kit mostly cause I like the CVR water pump design better.

It seems to me that some ITB's would be PERFECT for this swap. Next step, someone make some affordable ITB's that aren't crapola!
