Well... The one with the D=> goes on the driver's side of the engine and the one with the P=> goes to the passenger's side of the engine. Sorry man, I couldn't resist.

In all seriousness, they look like the "legs" use the factory lower bits on the frame and the upper sliders allow movement of the engine fore and aft in the frame. Neat idea if you don't have the ability to build your own engine mounts.

Subscribed. This is my kinda car. My very first car was a 4-door '75 in a darker blue with the 350/350. $100 car I bought when I was still 15, threw my BMW in the trunk and drove it to a mechanic's shop in town to keep until I had my license. They had about thirty Corvairs out back they tinkered with and it dwarfed them all.

Any particular reason you're going with the bigger 4L80E and not the typical 4L60E that would come behind a 5.3L?

I'll be interested to see what kind of obstacles you can overcome with the mounts, the steering gear, electronics, speedometer, column shifter, and driveshaft. Those are my biggest concerns to think about before I do my own swap. I might darn well do it in my Gran Torino anyway, depending on how much I like this 351C it has now. I could always sell the 351C (rebuilt, RV cam, .030 bored, about 12K on it now) and FMX (rebuilt, about 3K on it now) and that would probably be enough to get a junkyard 5.3L and 4L60E and a harness/ECU.
