Fox Body Swap with Stock K member
As the title says. My neighbor, he's 73, wants to drop a LS3 headed 6.0 in a Fox Body Futura. It currently has a 6 banger, AC, PS, PB, and cruise. We will be keeping all the current options. We will be upgrading the brakes, rear end, and installing subframe connectors. He wants to keep it looking like Granny's car.
He does not want to run headers on this car. I have C5 and rear dump truck manifolds. Will either of these work in this car?
We will be running a carb. So I am thinking a MSD box and figure out the wiring for gauges and alternator.
Can we get this done with the stock K member? If no why not?
Thanks for your input.

I don't think the stock k member will work. On my 01 MUSTANG the engine sat real high, I would have needed to run a 5" cowl hood for clearance. I would get a tubular k and be done with it. You can still maintain that sleeper look. I have seen on here where guys run 2010 Camaro manifolds.

Thanks for the reply 99MUSTANG5.3L. I'm sure he will want to give it a shot with the stock K member. Thats alright, it's only time.

I used the F body pan and pick up. I have read of guys using the CTS-V pan also. I also stayed with the truck intake,if you swap the car one on you can gain like 3 1/2" of hood clearance.

UPR makes adapter plates that mount to the LS block and use mod motor mounts...the truck intake will require a cowl hood in almost all mustangs no matter what mounts or k member you run...
i use the adapter plates and solid mounts with my UPR k member
