This looks really really cool! And similar to what i am attempting.
I bought the OBD2 Link that Palmer Performance sells with their "Dashboard" app for windows. I am worried about one thing. Can you get the vss to display the odometer and not just the speed as well?

I'll be watching this. I bought a 10" Motorola Xoom with every intention of mounting it in the dash of my Nova. A comparable head unit with built in storage, Bluetooth, and video display was 600 or more on eBay. I picked up the Xoom factory refurbished from Motorola for 200. 32 gigs of storage, 10 inch display, built in 3G from Verizon, GPS and app support is infinitely more capable than any current head unit. A 2 channel amplifier can be used to power the entire cars audio as long as its nothing extravagant.
Now if only I could use it to control the A/C and heat I could eliminate all of the dash *****. I'm sure its possible, since a lot of newer cars use the same setup with a USB output controlling solenoids in the dash. My 2013 Dart has this feature.

Been using Torque Pro and many of the add-ins. Still have not used all of the features... but fun playing with it.
let me know how yours turns out for you.

I used THE PLX ADAPTER for a couple reasons. The ebay ones had a few complains about them being bad and I didn't want to deal with that. And I wanted to hardwire my into the ignition so I didn't have to turn it on and off every time. I think it was about $100

Yea its been a little bit since I updated this thread, been busy with a million projects, mainly because I blew the rear in my 67, who ever had it before me didn't know what they were doing, and didn't lok tite the ring gear bolts and 11 of the twelve backed out on me lol, while im in it I decided to scrap the shitty gov lock carrier and go with an eaton posi with 3.55 for the gas mileage since its a 6 speed. anyways I have been making some videos I just have to edit them and post them, did some fiberglassing on the console. in the next couple days ill throw up my progress
