Default 78 280z 5.3 T56

Hello

Starting a build thread here

My project is a 1978 280z that will have a 5.3 from a 2002 Suburban and a T56 from a 2002 Camaro. I am currently working on getting the shell ready for paint and also gathering the rest of the parts for the conversion. Hopefully this doesnt take long!

Will have another update soon !

Nice man! Love the old Z chassis Initially what I wanted to build, but a good deal popped up and I ended up with an S chassis. Keep it up and I am looking forward to more.

Hello, I'm in the process of putting a LM7/T56 into my 73 240z. I'm currently trying to figure out the transmission wiring. Any ideas on what your going to do?

Thanks Jay

LS240Z. I will most likley be using a speartech harness unless something better comes along.

Thanks!

I made some more progress by removing the few bolts and screws that either stripped or broke while I was disassembling the car. I also took out the front suspension to have it ready for powder coating. The old gauges were removed to make room for new aftermarket gauges that will work with the ls engine. And I picked up a big block chevy water pump and some adapters to fit it on the ls

enough with the talkin. Heres some pics
